FIFA 21: 8 Reasons To Give Career Mode A Chance

2. Interactive Match Sim

God bless the new approach to simming games.

'Interactive Match Sim' makes Career Mode less of a slog, and it's no longer as much of a lethal lottery for those who don't want to play Stevenage in the third round of the Carabao Cup before a crunch league match. EA's flawlessly intuitive system enables you to watch a Football Manager-esque sim play out and jump in whenever you like.

It's buttery smooth, hasn't crashed once during hundreds of attempts and is always satisfying to do. Lost a goal after 10 minutes and showing no signs of getting back on terms before the break? Leap in and score the equaliser yourself before making tactical changes at half time. It's amazing how this one addition has totally changed Career.

The mode no longer feels like an empty, gruelling experience full of matches you can't be arsed playing. Being able to jump in and out (and in and out again if you so wish) of each game is something EA must've wish they'd implemented years ago.
