FIFA 23: 10 Big Changes EA Sports Need To Revitalise The Franchise
7. Overhaul The Presentation
Presentation and visuals have always been one of FIFA’s strongest points; with EA Sports' licence domination and financial offering, the game has long been the envy of many.
However, with FIFA 2021 the series moved onto the latest generation of consoles, but with the two newest editions so far the franchise has yet to make that step up in quality that should now be expected for the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Over the next few years the visuals will surely take advantage of the new hardware on offer, but the presentation package itself needs to improve. New cut scenes and crowd elements were added for FIFA 22, but it was mainly the same as what we had already seen from the series.
In recent years FIFA has moved away from long-time English commentators Martin Tyler and Alan Smith. While it is fine to freshen things up, Tyler remains one of the most notable names on the mic at matches, and the replacements Derek Rae and Stewart Robson simply don't have that same feel when there was a lot of other options of recognisable voices. Commentary is a big element of sports titles and one that FIFA needs to get right for the new generation of fans.
