4. Forward Planning
In the interest of planning ahead, FIFA Manager 13 will include three brand new planning tools, which again will ramp up the realism element even further, and recreating as complex and engaging a management experience as possible: Season Planner A new addition to the Transfer Market, this tool allows players to plan their squad for the next season. Through it, the manager select current squad players, players in negotiations with the club and even players who are just on the scouting team's short list and then try out various possible combinations including all three pools of players in order to explore the impact they could have on the team dynamic. This feature will allow the manager to explore the best combinations, taking scouting beyond merely looking at the players' stats, to explore exactly their effect on the current team, and duly avoiding toxic influences. So, no signing Joey Barton then... Upcoming Events Part of the News/Calendar section, this second tool is a new screen that lists all upcoming events and improvements such as important matches; important transfer market dates; completion dates of stadium elements, club facilities, and youth camps; required points for a personal promotion (manager level); changes in the all-time tables; experience gains of players and many more. The feature will allow the player to take immediate action based on upcoming events, or to set reminders for when further steps are required. A very smart way to channel the obsessive dedication to planning that real management requires, in the name of deep, immersive gameplay. Player Development Tool As part of the Player Info screen, this tool will allow the manager to predict the career path of players depending on parameters like injuries, matches played, other positions, talent etc. According to EA Sports, it will be an extremely helpful tool to ensure that a player can have a positive impact on the team in the long-term. All three additions look like extremely smart ones, especially the exceptional Season Planner which will add a whole new dimension to the transfer market.
