FIFA World Cup 2014: 10 Things It Does Better Than FIFA 14

4. Heading Far Better

The addition to World Cup 2014 that was talked about most was the changes to the way a player will header the ball, eradicating a problem FIFA has had for years. Previously, aerial duels were random and downright bizarre, with players that are prolific in the air somehow struggling against their diminutive adversaries in the virtual world. Now though, with FIFA's over-the-head addition, players can header the ball in any direction. It will sound weird to anyone that doesn't play the game but for die-hard players it's a necessary feature. It also results in players doing things that they would in the real world, rather than try a ridiculous bicycle kick for seemingly no reason at all. The heading modifications will fit in so well with the game that after a while you will barely notice them at all, becoming part of the larger fabric of the game that we adore. This feature is certain to find it's way onto FIFA 15 and that's a good thing in itself, as by that point it will hopefully be even better - if that's actually possible.
