He's long, he's angry and he's here to get all up in your guill.

The bigger brother of the Adamntoises and Adamantortoises you'll see wandering around Final Fantasy XIII's Gran Pulse area, the Long Gui has a hefty HP total of over 16 million, high defence and attack capabilities and will require effective use of FFXIII's battle system to put down.

Fancy throwing some attacks at the Long Gui? You can if you wish, but this monster has abilities in place which mean it only takes around 10% of the normal damage your attacks would do.

Your aim is to stagger the Long Gui and make it collapse. You can either do this by crippling both of its legs with a sustained, strategic assault, or you can summon an eidolon which will cause it to collapse instantly when they disappear. From there, you can spam Vanille's death ability to deal significant damage.

Watch out for the Long Gui's Ultima ability which can really put a dampener on things if you die after battling this creature for ages. Sacrifice an eidolon if you have to!

You'll get an achievement/trophy for beating Long Gui, and it may drop a Trapezohedron, a rare item needed to craft many of the best items in the game. There's only a 5% chance it'll drop one though!
