Step up Warmech, the first sort-of superboss ever found in a Final Fantasy game!

Originally in as a normal enemy in Final Fantasy for the NES, Warmech - aka Death Machine - has since been upgraded to boss-level in the Dawn of Souls compilation of Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II.

Despite where it appears, Warmech is always going to give your party a run for their money. If you were playing the original game, the fact that it's a random encounter and can pop up at any point on the bridge in the Flying Fortress, is a very scary prospect indeed.

The Warmech can devastate your party very quickly, particularly if it ends up getting a pre-emptive strike and uses its Atomise ability.

In the remakes of Final Fantasy I, Warmech even has an ability that lets it regenerate 5% of its health every single turn.

On the plus side if you manage to beat Warmech you get a tonne of EXP and gil (32,000 of each!).
