Final Fantasy 7: Ranking Every Main Character From Worst To Best

As the head of Shinra's Science Research Division, Hojo is the mastermind who conducted the Jenova Project experiments and helped set up SOLDIER. It's his fault that Sephiroth was ever born.

He cares for little else but his work, de-humanizing people by thinking of them as "test subjects". He might be the most evil character in FFVII. Not only is he a major threat to the planet with how he conducts his research with little regard for the consequences, he also becomes a threat in a boss battle late in the game.

We first meet Hojo when he's trying to get Red XIII to mate with Aerith- don't worry, Red's not playing along. Near the end of the game, he becomes a threat to Midgar when he uses the Mako cannon to attack Diamond Weapon and send a blast of mako to Sephiroth in the crater. He doesn't care about the destruction he causes, just wants to see his experiment to the end.

The party has to do battle with Hojo after he injects himself with Jenova. You'll have to fight him in human form, Helletic Hojo, and finally Lifeform Hojo-N. The weirdest thing about him though? Who keeps their lab coat on at the beach??
