Perhaps the most pertinent question on everybody's lips is:

Just when will we finally be able to get our hands on the game?!

It's not too long to wait now. During a pre-E3 Final Fantasy concert in Los Angeles this past June, Nomura personally unveiled that the long-awaited redux, four years in the making, will hit stores on 3 March 2020.

At first, the game is set to launch exclusively for PS4 - though Square Enix have not ruled out the possibility of it making its way to Xbox and Windows in the future (for obvious reasons, a Switch version seems extraordinarily unlikely).

Can't wait.
