Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2: 7 Enemies We NEED To Fight

This spot on the list could have gone to any of the bizarre monstrosities encountered in the Shinra Mansion to be honest, from the aptly named Dorky Face – a floating pumpkin wearing a skirt made of neckties – to the optional boss Lost Number, which looks like the result of a night of passion between a giant purple grape and Animal from The Muppets.

For my money though, the ultimate oddity must be Ghirofelgo, a chain-swinging masked man whose lower half is, rather than the traditional pair of human legs, a razor-sharp anchor-pendulum... thing.

Given the much-lauded treatment received by Hell House in the first part of Remake, Ghirofelgo could be another example of a run-of-the-mill enemy type transformed into a huge boss battle set piece.

The ghostly nature of the Shinra Mansion's denizens allows the creators to go even crazier with their designs, with less of an impetus to explain away the details than might be expected in other areas' enemies.

Building upon the supernatural elements established in the previous game's Train Graveyard sequence, Cloud and company's tense investigation in the Shinra Mansion could be disrupted by the appearance of a wildly swinging Ghirofelgo, wrecking its surroundings with its massive curved blade, leading to a memorable boss fight.
