Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2: 7 Enemies We NEED To Fight

2. Hojo

Professor Hojo, the most dastardly of bastards. Anyone who has played either the original game or the remake will, by the time they leave Midgar, absolutely want to kick this creep's teeth so far down his throat that they become honorary toenails. Unfortunately, the player will have to wait quite some time to face him in battle: towards the end of disc 2 in the original, and just a huge question mark for the remake project.

Hojo has been brilliantly characterised in the first part of Remake. The scene in which he taunts Aerith about the experiments he performed on her mother's remains is etched into players' minds as one of the most disturbing moments in the entire game, and the less said about his plans for the last Cetra herself, the better.

There's no question that we will come to blows with him at some point. If this fight goes anything like the one in the original, we could see some excellent body horror, as Hojo transforms himself into a writhing, amorphous, gaping-mawed abomination. Some may consider this an improvement in looks, but it also marks an increase in the physical threat Hojo represents to the party.

By the end of the game, we better have been given the chance to make this monster pay for his atrocities.
