Final Fantasy VII Remake: 10 Huge Things That Could Go Terribly Wrong

1. Pretty Much Any DLC Practices

Okay, so trying to force online elements into the game is a no-no, but that doesn't mean that the developers should completely ignore some of the opportunities the modern gaming environment offers them. In particular, Square Enix could surely make a killing from releasing DLC that expands on the game even further. Should they, should they not - especially considering the budget this will require? That's another question. Still, imagine playing through some of Sephiroth's early years in SOLDIER or getting to grips with fighting as the Turks and seeing what life is like when you're battling for the other side. There are simply so many opportunities to add extra perspective for fans and allow them to play as people other than the heroes, exploring different story lines and adding to what has already been established as they go. Plus, DLC can solve the problem of trying to incorporate as many story elements as possible without ruining the overall flow of the story. In the end, the Final Fantasy VII remake is all about fan service, so Square Enix will need to make sure that they offer up enough to keep the fans satisfied. Besides, complimentary DLC is much better than a new batch of fully-priced spin-offs. So what do you think of the Final Fantasy VII remake? Is there any way can succeed - and how?
