13. Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings
The sequel to FFXII focused on Vaan and Penelo and a few other familiar faces as they encounter a new threat in Ivalice. Interestingly enough, Revenant Wings isn't an RPG, but features gameplay more akin to a real-time strategy (RTS) game. A more simplistic RTS at that, meaning no resource gathering as such. Sequels are hard to rank because interest in the game will depend a lot on whether you liked the first game, and it's not that different here. The storytelling in itself is decent, and gameplay is fun if you're into the RTS-like feel. Gameplay could be a bit tough if you weren't fully accustomed to the Nintendo DS controls though, something that doesn't effect many of the other games on this list, but needs to be stated in this case. That said, it is still simplistic in nature, and an 'all out attack' mentality can still get the job done; and done well.
