Final Fantasy X HD: 5 Moments It'll Be Great To Relive In High Definition
5. The Stadium Attack
If you were to do a poll amongst Final Fantasy fans as to who their favourite character from X was, you'd most likely get Auron as the top answer. The embodiment of 'badass' with his sunglasses and red coat combination, he originally appears in the game's prologue, effortlessly cutting down beasts with his blade before he disappears after Tidus' experience with time travel. He reappears some time later in this scene, which is memorable not only for re-introducing him but also for introducing one of the game's most bizarre summonable beings (otherwise known as Aeons) Anima. Following the conclusion of a blitzball tournament that Tidus and fellow party member Wakka have taken part in, the stadium hosting the event comes under attack from hordes of monsters. Tidus and Wakka fight off several before Auron is seen in his element defeating several without breaking a sweat. His actions are hugely eclipsed, however, when Seymour, a character that has not long been introduced to the player, reveals his capabilities of a summoner, calling forth the mysterious (and monstrous) Anima and eradicating everything on screen. A riveting watch in its day, this scene is such to look even crisper now than it did before, and given how early it occurs in the game, will be amongst the first great moments that fans get to rediscover come March. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7ldlvlpcjU
