Final Fantasy XIV Review: 10 Ways It Rules

2. Cross-Server Play

Final Fantasy Xiv G Something I hadn't read about before playing A Realm Reborn but something I truly admire about the game is the Duty Finder, where you can party-up with players regardless of their server placement, something that is extremely rare in most MMO games, sadly. When tackling some of the game's challenges, you'll find yourself making friends with folks on different servers, which is refreshing, though at the same time, it is a tad frustrating that there's no ability to add a player from another server to your friends list and chart their progress. Instead, you have to look them up using the game's web directory, which allows you to see how they're doing, but doesn't allow you to chat in-game. It's something for Square to think about for a patch, perhaps? Surely, it can't be that difficult to implement?
