The next thing to look at are your Heroes’ stats. There are six stats, which are displayed on the information panel at the top of the screen when a character is selected or on the character screen which you can look at using the Plus button on the character portrait in the top-left.

You can get more information about each by tapping on the stat in question.

HP: This is your Hero’s total health. If it reaches zero during battle, they die.

Attack (Atk): This affects the damage your Hero deals (regardless of their weapon type).

Speed (Spd): If your Hero’s speed is five or more greater than their opponent during combat, your Hero will attack twice (regardless of who initiated the combat).

Defence (Def): This reduces the damage your Hero will take from Physical attacks.

Resistance (Res): This reduces the damage taken from Magical attacks.

Skill Points (SP): These are earned by killing units and levelling up, and can be spent to teach your Hero additional skills.

Might (Mt): This is displayed on your weapon, and is combined with your Attack stat to determine the damage you will deal with attacks.
