First WWE 2K16 Footage - Everything You Need To Know
7. Better Graphics...Mostly
Something which is immediately apparent from the first footage from WWE 2K16 is that the graphics have once again improved since the release of the previous instalment. However, based on the entrances for Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, the quality still varies greatly throughout the game. While Rollins' entrance comes across as very lifeless and unrealistic, the movements in Balor's are far more believable and accurate when compared to the actual thing. This likely comes down to only some of the Superstars on the game's roster receiving the mo-cap treatment. There was a massive divide in regards to the accuracy of certain wrestler's mannerisms in last year's effort as well, and it seems that will once again be the case here. Moving on to the in ring action though and things are looking good. The movements of the wrestlers look very real, as do the moves themselves. When Balor suplexes Rollins over the top rope, he moves backwards slightly struggling with the weight of lifting his opponent. It's a minor touch, but one which ultimately improves the overall experience. It was mentioned at Gamescom that the referee and manager A.I. has also been improved, and the fact that the ref is striking a believable pose in the corner of the ring rather than mindlessly staggering around and getting in the way of the action is another good sign.
