First WWE 2K16 Footage - Everything You Need To Know

3. Entrances Still Suck

I touched on the entrances in a previous slide, but the gameplay videos which debuted leave oh so much more to rant about. The audience in the arena remains a problem. While the expense and effort of creating a photorealistic crowd of thousands of fans might be expecting a bit much (even on New Gen consoles), they're distractingly terrible. The same jerky movements are all still there, as are the annoying outdated t-shirts and generic signs which look set to rob 2K16 of the kind of authenticity it's striving to portray. They also don't turn when a Superstar makes their entrance; instead, they continue to stare into space! It also appears as if championship belts will also be largely ignored too. While it once again might be expecting a little too much to ask 2K to create animations for every Superstar holding a title belt, the fact that Rollins doesn't even take it off to hold it up during his entrance is a big inaccuracy, and so like previous years, it appears as if titles will be superimposed props not acknowledged during entrances. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmGg_FLhxAs There are other nitpicks too. The fact that Lillian Garcia's introduction sounds like it takes place in a recording booth rather than the arena is one of those things which really pulls you out of the moment, as is the generic commentary which unfortunately still plays over the entrance videos. So, they're pretty disappointing overall then, but it has at least been revealed that there will no longer be any loading screens between entrances, so that's...something?
