1. Better Press Conferences
Owen Humphreys/PA Archive/Press Association ImagesCould it be anything else? For years now, FM players have had to suffer with the same banal set of quips to a slew of repetitious questions. Hell, most veteran campaigners can't even be bothered with this aspect of the game anymore, instead choosing to send the assistant in and damn the consequences. Familiarity breeds contempt, and we've been putting up with this since the days of FM 2007. While there have been innovations to help spice up the rigmarole of meeting the press, it's been nothing but putting lipstick on a particularly unattractive pig. Yet ore so than most, this is an area in drastic need of an overhaul to bring back the cynics. but each year the same old system is dragged out with little more than a new question added. It's not enough. Though the solution for what they would create to replace this archaic, boredom-inducing system remains up for debate (having you co-host conferences with the captain, chairman or new signing might be a good idea), one thing is clear they need to do something. The adversarial relationships between clubs, managers and the press is one of the most interesting parts of modern football, and it has yet to be properly captured by Sports Interactive.
