Football Manager 2015: 10 Most Infuriating Things That Always Happen

4. The Board Accepts A Bid For Your Star Player

You€™re managing a decent sized club but one that can€™t really compete at the top table of European football. Your star player is in the form of his life and dragging you towards qualification for the Champions League. Would you sell him? Not for all the oil money in the world. Real Madrid have made a bid which of course you reject. It doesn€™t matter how much money they€™re offering as your player is irreplaceable in his current form. However, the board have other ideas. €œOh, that ridiculously low opening offer? We had to accept that as it was just too much money to turn down,€ they tell you. Forget the fact they still expect you to coast your way into the European qualification places despite selling off all your best players. Complain about it and you€™re sacked so you best get your head down and work out how to replace him with 40 per cent of the fee you received as the board want some of that money to themselves.
