Football Manager 2015: 20 Ultimate Wishlist Features It Must Include

19. Dortmund-esque 5 Second Pressing

In the modern game, what you do without the ball is arguably more important than the team's contribution while on it. To counter the possession football of the super clubs, smaller teams have pieced together effective manners of harrying their opposition. Dortmund are the flagship club, with Jurgen Klopp's men having a philosophy of winning the ball back within five seconds and a simple tactic would be extremely relevant in the upcoming Football Manager instalment. Whether it takes form as a number of pressing triggers, for example the ball being given to a wide man or simply a poor pass played by your opponents, team instructions to then rush force and peg in your foes would be excellent. Not only this, but being able to doctor your pressing in terms of severity - as Dortmund often push men up to fill space deep in the other team's half - would be enough acknowledgement of the two polar opposites of the current game. It has been an important figment of European football for the past two season, so it might be about time SI addressed more customisable pressing.
