Football Manager 2020 Review: 6 Ups & 2 Downs
5. Club Vision
One of the most interesting new features of the game is the introduction of Club Vision. Previous Football Manager games would insert you into the role of the gaffer and then you'd be sort of left to create your own legacy. With Club Vision, you now have a year-by-year plan of where the board want you to take the team.
This feature really benefits the players who are willing to put in a number of hours, building their squad to perfection then watching them become footballing behemoths. However, if you're unable to reach the club's targets, which could include signing players of a certain calibre or age, playing a specific brand of football or winning major trophies, then you'll be looking for a new role very quickly.
While Football Manager has never been an easy game, this really ups the ante in terms of difficulty. If you thought it was relatively easy to keep your board happy in previous versions, expect a much more difficult time with them this time around.
