Football Manager 2022: 10 Centre-Backs You Must Sign

7. Oumar Solet

Football Manger 2022 Josko Gvardiol

Club: RB Salzburg

Nationality: French

Price: £13 million

RB Salzburg's Oumar Solet is everything you could want from your typical ball playing centre-back.

A starting passing stat of 15 indicates just how comfortable Solet is in possession, but he also ticks plenty of boxes on the defensive side of things, too. While all of his key defensive numbers range from 13-15 when FM22 starts, the 21-year-old has potential to boost these up and become one of the best CBs on the game.

In addition to those stats all striking the right notes, a 6'4" frame and 15 jumping are also noteworthy in how Solet can dominate the opposition either in his own box, the opponent's box, or even in the centre of midfield. Due to his technical ability, this former Lyon prospect can comfortably be used as a sitting defensive midfielder who will drop in and take the ball from your centre-backs.

While certain other centre-backs on this list are capable of playing in other positions, none of them are quite as naturally suited to those other roles as Oumar Solet is as a DM - meaning he's a brilliant option to have at your disposal.
