Club: Nantes

Nationality: French

Price: £15 million

Alban Lafont has been a favourite of many an FM or FIFA player over the past couple of seasons, and Football Manager 2022 is no different when it comes to just how good this young goalkeeper can become.

Despite feeling like he's been around forever, Lafont is still only 22 years of age at the start of FM22. His big move to Fiorentina ultimately didn't work out - the Frenchman losing his spot to another FM fave, Bartłomiej Drągowski - but the 6'4" stopper has impressed since signing with Nantes in in 2019, initially on loan.

That loan move was made permanent this past summer for a modest £7 million, and that low price means you should be able to prize Lafont away from Nantes for £15 million or so. The youngest goalkeeper ever to play in Ligue 1, and once tipped alongside Gigi Donnarumma to be the best in the world, there's so much potential in Lafont if you have a good training setup in place to get the most of of him.
