Football Manager 2022: 10 New Features To Be Excited About

1. The Impending Arrival Of Women's Teams?

Women's football is coming to Football Manager... just seemingly not in time for FM22.

Sports Interactive's Miles Jacobson confirmed earlier this year that SI is bringing the women's game to the realm of Football Manager, although he added how this new addition likely won't be available in time to make the cut for Football Manager 2022.

There's been no update on this issue since Jacobson's comments this past July, so it seems safe to assume that those wishing to rub shoulders with the likes of Lucy Bronze, Megan Rapinoe and Marta will have to wait a little while longer than FM22's 9 November release date.

That said - and this is purely speculation on your writer's part - maybe we get women's teams added to FM22 in a patch or updated database somewhere down the line.

So, the bottom line is that women's teams (and presumably leagues) are a new feature on the horizon for the Football Manager series. It's just that FM22 may arrive a little too soon for this feature to make the cut; at least by the time of the game's initial release.

Interestingly, the Football Manager brand is also these days an official sponsor of Everton's women's team.
