Fortnite: 6 Massive Changes In Season 3
3. Weapons
As well as drastically altering the map, Season 3 has widely expanded the tools at your disposal as you aim for the Victory Royale, with both new and returning weapons and items. Some items have been vaulted though - most notably the Pump Shotgun, which has been replaced with the new Charge Shotgun. This only holds three shots before needing to be reloaded, but can be charged by holding the trigger to deal more damage (although it does take a while to get to maximum power).
There are also a host of new Mythic items obtained from boss enemies. Head to the Fortilla for Ocean's Burst Assault Rifle and a Bottomless Chug Jug which refills over time; the Authority for Jules' Drum Gun and Glider Gun, an upgraded grappler which allows you to redeploy your glider; and to Catty Corner for Kit's Charge Shotgun and Shockwave Launcher, a powerful grenade launcher.
There are also a number of old weapons which have been unvaulted, including the Bolt-Action Sniper, Compact SMG, Grappler, Stink Bombs, Chug Splashes and the Hunting Rifle. Season 3 has the most varied set of weapons that Chapter 2 has yet seen, which is a welcome shake-up to keep things fresh.
