Friday The 13th Game Review: 4 Ups & 5 Downs

5. Graphical Quirks
To say that some of the faces in Friday the 13th come from the uncanny valley would be an understatement.
Despite Jason's awesomely detailed model and some fantastic looking environments, Friday the 13th ends up disappointing visually. Everything from the counsellors' faces, to the water and the particle effects all feels outdated. None of the experience screams triple A, or even fully polished.
It doesn't help that the performance of Friday the 13th chugs like an alcoholic. If the game ran at a smooth sixty frames no matter what console, the less-than-intensive graphics would be more understandable. Unfortunately, the game suffers from some severe performance issues that make it a chore to play at times.
Whether or not some of the funky faces were done on purpose, it still feels like Friday the 13th had a rushed release because of its lacklustre graphics and poor performance.
