Gamescom 2015: Every Brand New Gameplay Demo You Need To See

2. Fallout 4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1J0oh6-kAGk Sadly right now Bethesda are playing the vast majority of Fallout 4's cards close to their chest, resulting in relayed information about how it plays, what new features are present and every other gameplay tweak being discussed at length, but rarely shown. I've included Danny O'Dwyer's impressions from Gamespot as he's always a reliable guy, and I'll replace the above clip with the gameplay he's discussing if/when it becomes available - but for now there's still plenty to get hyped about. It basically sounds as though F4 is the perfected version of what Bethesda have forever been trying to achieve for years now, refining their gunplay into something that's just as enjoyable as the exploration, padding out customisable aspects to allow for worthwhile crafting components, and just making sure they delivering a level of polish that'll make it appeal to as many people as possible. As the last couple of Fallout titles were critically and culturally revered but forever hampered by endless amounts of bugs and glitches for the majority, perhaps Fallout 4's 'retreading' of old ground to deliver a hands-down phenomenal experience is exactly what everyone needs.
