2. Resident Evil 8 In Development - Returns To Third-Person

Resident Evil fans know that Capcom is currently working on a new game in the franchise, as the company recently put out an advert for play testers to trial the project this September, but it's unclear at the moment whether this is Resident Evil 8 or a Resident Evil 3 remake.

Despite the remake of the second game only dropping this year, both are equally likely.

Resi 8 has been a long time coming, and you'd assume Capcom will have been tinkering away at it for a while, but the success of 2 could have pushed them to focus on 3, which would also be a quicker turnaround because so many of the assets are already built.

That said, it would be the grand unveiling of a Resident Evil 8 - following on from the style of 7's soft-reboot, but perhaps with the third-person perspective fans love so much - that would bring the house down.
