7. PlayStation Vita 2 Is Real

Yes, Sony discontinued the Vita back in September 2018, but that was before Nintendo doubled down on the exact selling point that made the system so valuable in the first place:

Console-quality titles in a handheld space.

Now, I say "doubled down" because we've had mention of the Switch Lite since then, and it seems Nintendo are forgoing launching a dedicated 3DS replacement, instead letting a smaller Switch replace it in time.

None of this will have escaped Sony's notice, and although the Vita went down like a led balloon thanks to being a product of trial and error across various portable PlayStations, it's easily one of the best systems Sony have ever put out.

A second Vita with a refined set of features, releases across PS1, PS2, PS3 and some PS4 games, plus an audience receptive to "console experiences on the go" makes the whole endeavour feel way more natural than it ever did before.
