Gamescom 2019: 10 Announcements That Would BREAK The Internet
5. Breath Of The Wild 2 Coming In 2021 With A Premium 4K Switch
Back in March 2019, not one but two new Switch models leaked, thanks to specs and plans shared online from Nintendo's manufacturing plants.
However, post-E3, all we saw was the one "Switch Lite", a reduced-in-size system with better battery life and no motion control capabilities.
Naturally this leaves one "Premium" console on the table for some point in the future, and although Nintendo aren't listed on the official rollout of devs for Gamescom, they're never one to play by the rules.
Not only do Nintendo clearly have another system up their sleeve, ready to deploy when the competition heats up again, but we know Breath of the Wild 2 is the next major Zelda game after Link's Awakening.
Better still, it's 99% coming in 2021, as the series has followed a 2 year release cycle for the majority of recent instalments. Tri-Force Heroes was 2015, Breath of the Wild in 2017, Link's Awakening this year and Breath of the Wild 2 in 2021. At this stage, it'd be weird for it not to drop then.
Combine the two - topping the immaculate Breath of the Wild with 4K visuals and an uptick in general processing power - and you have the perfect way to step everything up at once.
