Gamescom 2019: 10 Announcements That Would BREAK The Internet
4. Google Has Bought A Major Exclusive For Stadia's Launch
Google has been making waves over the past couple of months after announcing the streaming Stadia service, and even if you don't believe it's going to be a hit, it's caused enough of a ruckus to convince Microsoft and Sony to work together to ensure they don't fall behind.
At their major showcase a few months ago, Google announced that they'd partnered with almost all of the major studios and publishers to bring high-quality third-party and first-party games to their system, but they're yet to reveal a killer app.
Consequently, Gamescom might see Google try to steal everyone's thunder and announce that they've secured a deal to nab a major franchise as an exclusive.
We know Google Stadia executive Jade Raymond has been visiting studios (most recently showing up at Kojima Productions, which probably has nothing to do with Death Stranding suddenly being de-listed as a PS4 exclusive...) and considering how much money Google has at their disposal, they could easily sway a major publisher to their side.
After all, that's exactly what Epic has been doing on PC this past year.
