Gears 5: 10 Characters We NEED In Multiplayer
4. Bernadette Mataki
Since continuity is more or less out the window with Gears 5's multiplayer it would be great to see old Bernie make a return.
Like Tai, Bernadette was an islander and veteran warrior. She was first introduced through novels and had a particularly tragic past. She eventually made her way onto our screens as a supporting character in Gears of War 3 where she worked closely with Hoffman in protecting a human settlement.
She made a brief appearance in Gears of War 4 during the opening montage sequence but had so far only been playable in Gears of War 3.
While Gears has always had a relatively diverse set of cast members, Bernie would add that little bit extra. Not to mention her sassy and witty attitude would be a great replacement for the lack of authority figures in the game already with notable characters like Prescott and Hoffman also missing.
