Ghost Of Tsushima: 10 Reasons It's The PS4's Best Open-World Game
8. Multiple Ways To Play
One of the biggest selling points of the game is the two major ways that players can tackle situations.
Play as either an honourable samurai or the deadly ghost assassin. Jin starts his journey by upholding the samurai code of direct confrontation with his enemies. However, as the situation grows direr, he must reluctantly adopt less honourable methods if he is to overcome the ferocious Mongol hoard.
Both paths feel exceptionally rewarding leaving the player to wonder what would have happened if they were to go back and try a different approach. Striding up to a camp full of enemies and facing them head-on as a samurai is both adrenaline pumping but also incredibly difficult. On the other hand, successfully infiltrating and silently taking out the guards one by one is equally challenging but allows for more creative methods of combat.
Unfortunately, the path of the ghost is something new to Jin and goes against everything he had been raised to do. Ghost of Tsushima isn't afraid to guilt trip players into playing honourably, but that doesn't mean stealth is any less fun.
