Ghost Of Tsushima: 10 Reasons Why It's A Game Of The Year Contender
5. The Mythic Tales Are Awesome
It would not be an open world game without a huge list of quests for the player to undertake. In Ghost of Tsushima’s case, they are divided into three categories; Jin’s Journey, Tales of Tsushima and the very impressive Mythic Tales.
Players can unlock these unique tales by visiting Yamato, the wandering musician, who will treat the player with a small story about the legend it deals with. This could be about a new and deadly ability the player can learn or a new piece of armour, that when fully upgraded, can be one of the most powerful armour sets in the game.
The Mythic Tales also shake things up in terms of gameplay. They force the player to search areas of the island for clues or hidden maps that will lead them to their final destination, which will make the best use of the island's natural beauty. The tales will often end with a duel or battle that will leave a lasting impression on the player.
Players are encouraged to seek out all the Mythic Tales, as they are the most rewarding and memorable quests of the game and push many of its key features to their limits.
