Ghost Of Tsushima: 10 Reasons Why It's A Game Of The Year Contender
3. Interesting Companions And Antagonist
On his journey to liberate Tsushima from Khotun Khan and his army, Jin must turn to the aid of his allies. Each companion has their own set of side quests that players can complete in order to increase their legend and earn new items and abilities.
But the main purpose of these quests are to focus on the personal battles that each companion is struggling with. Whether your helping the leader of the Straw Hat Ronin Ryuzo feed his men or helping Lady Masako avenge the death of her family, every companion's story helps us learn a little more about them and what toll the war is having on them. And despite them being so rare, it is always fascinating to hear what Khotun Khan thinks of your actions as well as his plans of retaliation.
It is also interesting to see how each of these characters react to Jin’s decision to fight as the Ghost. Where some may see it as a necessary evil in order to fight off the Mongols, others will see it as a dark and terrible path that will be the beginning of the end for Jin and Clan Sakai.
