Ghost Of Tsushima: 10 Reasons Why It's A Game Of The Year Contender

2. The Music Is Glorious

The music of Ghost of Tsushima is a beautiful combination of modern, cinematic techniques and traditional Japanese instruments. It is another major achievement from a PlayStation exclusive title, especially when you consider it’s main composer had little experience with creating music for video games.

Although Ilan Eshkeri has created scores for a wide variety of films, such as Layer Cake, Kick-Ass and Shaun the Sheep The Movie, he was always wanting to compose for video games. With Sims 4 being the only game to his credit, Sucker Punch allowed Ilan to have full creative control and the results were incredible.

Songs like The Way of the Ghost, The Way of the Samurai and Heart of the Jito all help elevate key moments in the story while the theme songs for characters such as Jin, Khotun and Lord Shimura all capture their personalities and styles perfectly.

Just like the Island of Tsushima itself, the music will captivate players with its elegance and powerful scope. The full album is available above for you to listen to, with an extra special recommendation for The Way of the Ghost feat. Clare Uchima.

I am an open minded guy who is always up for trying new things. I love playing video games, watching and critiquing the latest films and tv shows and a big fan of football. P.S, I hope you are all doing well during these challenging times and that you have a great day.
