Ghost Of Tsushima: 10 Things We NEED To See

9. Good Weapon Variety

One of the coolest aspects of Samurai is their weapons. The Katana and Wakizashi are some of the coolest weapons there are. They're especially cool because they are ancient weapons that were masterfully crafted for a specific kind of fighting. They weren't huge, sharp, rigid swords like those of medieval Europeans, they were explicitly designed for the movement of a Samurai.

Contrary to popular belief, the Katana and Wakizashi are not the only weapons that the Samurai would use. The Naginata, for example, is a long, pole-based weapon that first originated around 710-780 AD and was first used by the Buddhist and Sohei monks. A curved blade accompanied the long pole on the top. It required great skill and stamina to use effectively.

Another lesser-known weapon of the Samurai is the Kusarigama. It is a weaponised sickle with a long, weighted chain. It is a close combat weapon that is effective in disarming and immobilising an opponent. The chain was used to entangle an enemy before moving in to strike with the sickle.

We just really hope Sucker Punch implement these cool, lesser-known weapons as options, giving us more choice in our playstyle.
