God Of War: 10 Worst Things Kratos Has Ever Done
8. Burning A Helpless Peirithous To Death
Poor, poor Peirithous. In God of War III, the demigod is imprisoned in the Underworld by Hades, and as evidenced by a letter found during the game, he dreams of escaping his captivity to be reunited with his lover Persephone.
Kratos eventually finds him trapped behind a cage made of bramble, offering Kratos the Bow of Apollo if he can free him.
At this point, Kratos gets into a battle with a fire-breathing Cerberus, which concludes with Kratos making the creature breathe its fire over Peirithous' makeshift prison, burning him to death in the process.
It's all the more screwed up as Peirithous is clearly terrified when the Cerberus shows up, and his blood-curling screams as he burns makes it clear he didn't die well.
But Kratos got the Bow of Apollo, so it was totally justified, yeah? While we can't conclusively say that Kratos 100% intended to kill the guy, he sure didn't make much of an effort to prevent his death either.
