Gran Turismo 6: 10 Things It Needs

6. More Customisation

Though the Gran Turismo series boasts a fare degree of technical customisation, it doesn't offer much in the way of customisation that I, and many other casual players, actually want. On a cosmetic level, Gran Turismo allows you to alter paint colours, but not a whole lot else; there is one area where their main competitor, Forza, totally trumps them, allowing players to create surprisingly elaborate, beautiful paint-jobs. In GT6, this would allow players to really boast their own identity when racing against other players online. As far as track customisation goes, Polyphony got us off to an encouraging start no doubt, though there is still plenty of room left for improvement and innovation. Players are largely limited to creating looped tracks in GT5; how about allowing us to craft more elaborate rally-style races? Also, allowing us to edit the particulars of the track in a more detailed way would go a long way; if the game was released on the PS4, the controller's touch-pad would surely make dealing with the intricacies of track editing a far easier experience.
