Gran Turismo 6: 10 Things It Needs

3. Faster Load Times

Another common complaint about Gran Turismo 5 was the aggressively long loading times; without the game installed, it could take over a minute for a race to load, and even with it completely installed, you're looking at around 30-35 seconds. In this day and age, we as gamers simply aren't used to waiting this long, and given how no other PS3 game (except perhaps the horrid port of Bayonetta) makes you wait so long to play, it seems like there's a technical speed-bump that Polyphony have hit along the way. It's a worrying prospect for GT6; if the fifth game was already pushing the PS3 pretty close to bursting point, how is a sixth game, with presumably more content and better graphics, going to cope on the system? This is part of the reason why everyone assumed it would be a PS4 release; what better way to make up for the various limitations evident in the last game? Polyphony needs to ensure to fix this if a PS3 release is really on the cards.
