Gran Turismo 7: 7 Things Fans Want To See

3. A Return Of GT Original Tracks

When Trial Mountain featured in the announcement trailer, it created a sense that the series was going back to what made it special. We all love blasting around circuits like the Nurburgring and Spa, but the real miles were done on the hallowed tarmac of Midfield and Deep Forest Raceways, The Autumn Ring and Trial Mountain itself. Having these fun circuits back will not only provide a nostalgic overdose, but also facilitate ultra exciting racing.

In the era of Hermann Tilke, most new racetracks resemble mall parking lots. Bland, featureless and designed with a cookie cutter. It's vital for GT 7 to have the best tracks the real world has to offer (and many it doesn't offer anymore), but the original circuits have an equally important part to play.

The original circuits were fast, flowing, technical and extremely challenging. Most importantly, they are packed with overtaking opportunities. Having them back will assist in making racing more fun, especially in online modes. It also brings some of the older rally tracks into the equation. Adding gravel and snow surfaces to GT 7 can only improve the package.

Given the potential for car customization, a more refined damage model and improved physics, these possibilities can make GT 7 the reason why gamers buy a PS5.
