Grand Theft Auto 6 - 10 Things We Must See

6. Destructible Environments And Better Combat

Grand Theft Auto Online
Rockstar

In an open world game like the Grand Theft Auto franchise, making everything destructible just isn't feasible. Yes, it would be cool turning whatever city it's based in into some sort of apocalyptic wasteland as you flatten buildings and blow everything up, but that sort of technological leap is probably a long way off.

However, a little more damage would be no bad thing, as bullet holes in buildings and actual damage to the world around you to at least some extent would make all the difference. Certain locations being destructible is also a must (just imagine being able to destroy a gas station while taking out some of your enemies or glass around you shattering as you gun them down).

How does combat fit into this? Well, you may not be damaging your surroundings, but if we're going to be getting into fights again, the controls need to be overhauled. It would also be good for your character to show off the aftermath of a fistfight for more than a few seconds, whether that's a bloodied nose or a cast for a broken hand!
