6. A Female Protagonist
You won't find too many women in the Grand Theft Auto universe employed outside of the sex industry, but that could very well change when GTA 6 gets here.
Female protagonists are very much in these days - even Doctor Who is turning into one - and reports suggest Rockstar could try its hand at a strong leading lady.
During that same Guardian interview, Rockstar's Dan Houser admitted that the studio has considered the possibility of a strong GTA heroine (more likely an anti-heroine) but is waiting for the right game to introduce her.
“In the future, could we do a game with a female lead? Of course. We just haven’t found the right game for it yet, but it’s one of the things that we always think about. It didn’t feel natural for this game but definitely for the right game in the future - with the right themes, it could be fantastic. But for GTA 5, this was the organic thing that came up, these were the characters that would display the themes we wanted.”
Presuming GTA 6 goes down the same multiple-protagonist avenue as its predecessor, there's no reason why one of them shouldn't be female.
If nothing else, it would make a refreshing change from all of the dead hookers.
