GTA 6: 10 Gameplay Rumours We Hope Are True
9. Multiple Locations
A rumour that has surrounded GTA 6 since the game crept its way into the thoughts of fans is that it will take place within multiple locations.
More specifically, these rumours state that the game will take place within a returning Vice City, as well as a new location based on Rio de Janeiro. Liberty City will reportedly also feature in the same Ludendorff did in GTA 5 - you can have missions there, but it won't be open-world.
While many GTA fans are clamouring for a return to Vice City alone, you can't exactly have any major issues with making the game set in a select number of locations over one separate map. Not only will this keep you occupied if you get sick of seeing the same visuals, but it also broadens the horizon for the developers.
You can have characters exclusive to each of the locations. This would not only keep both (or more, if that may be the case) locations feeling fresh when you go back to them, but it would give players an incentive to actually do such a thing. The same applies to missions. There should only be a certain amount of missions available at a time in any given location in order to force players between locations.
If Rockstar are genuinely going to go down the multiple location route, there needs to be a legitimate reason for them doing so.
