GTA 6: 10 Major GTA 5 Problems It Must Fix
7. The Messy Online Experience
Though GTA Online is certainly a well-oiled machine at this point in time, it's been a bumpy road getting there.
Even though it's been over a decade since GTA V's online portion launched, you might well remember the horrendous state of the experience upon release - maddening server issues and a brutal lack of content being the most common complaints.
Though Rockstar has worked hard to support and flesh GTA Online out since, there are still myriad issues - namely the prevalence of hackers and griefers, and the egregious microtransaction implementation.
While it'd be naive to expect Rockstar to change or remove their MTX model considering how much money it prints for them annually, it would certainly be nice for GTA VI's online component to feel more substantial and less of a grind out of the gate - and, you know, actually work.
Above all else, if Rockstar isn't ready to roll out the online suite within GTA VI's release window, they should absolutely delay it until it's a more polished experience, because the early days of GTA V's online mode caused many to bounce off and never return.
