GTA 6: 10 Major GTA 5 Problems It Must Fix
3. Generic, Shallow Missions
As thoroughly entertaining as GTA V's single-player campaign is, it's also fair to say that repetition sets in long before it comes to an end, largely due to the game clinging rigidly to Rockstar's well-trod gameplay structure.
Even with some of the more memorably combat-averse comedy missions in the game, the bulk of your time will be spent driving around and killing people.
Plus, the much-hyped heists ultimately ended up feeling disappointingly shallow, with players given shockingly little granularity to tweak each job to their liking.
GTA VI desperately needs to get more inventive and weird with its mission types, and if heists do indeed make a return as expected, they must also give the player much deeper customisation options.
Sure, Rockstar could just play the hits and stick to a winning formula, but the mission template does feel rather tired in 2023, and could use some serious shaking up.
