GTA 6: 10 Things Rockstar Must AVOID From Red Dead 2
1. That Slow Pace
The most important thing to take away from this list is the game's speed.
Since we'll be more familiar to the suburban environment of GTA 6, it'll need to keep the pressure on, and introduce story and game elements quickly so we can roam the world unconfined, then find what the map has to offer at our own leisure.
RDR2 used New Hanover as its tutorial area, with all the interest being focused on Valentine. Later on, you either rode your horse to further away quest markers or used fast travel. With the countless amount of unique transports you could insert into GTA's modern setting, the missions could be stretched out in sheer distance, making the player get familiar with the mechanics while offering faster ways to progress, bit by bit.
Offering more variety early on will rectify the issue Red Dead Redemption 2 had with pace, and grant GTA 6 an early advantage.
Lastly, GTA 6 doesn't need as ludicrous an opening as you'd expect from a Saints Row game, but utilising a good hook would be beneficial. It gets players invested and moving through the plot quickly and steadily.
With this in place, the player would be the one to decide how quickly they complete the main storyline.
