GTA 6: 10 Things Rockstar Must AVOID From Red Dead 2

2. A Half-Baked Online Mode

Rockstar has made moves, adding new content such as bounty missions and other activities, in order to make the online experience better than what Red Dead Online had on release.

Before it was an empty landscape where you'd have to be creative with your friends in order to make it worthwhile. But there was only a certain number of things you could do before experiencing everything the virtual cowboy landscape had to offer.

When GTA 6 will inevitably add online mode to their game, it will have to contend more with GTA 5 over that of Red Dead Online. But what they can learn is patience in getting to a better product, since they didn't get too much sales for RDR2 when online was debuted and definitely less so in micro-transactions.

Another issue they'd need to avoid is having essential kit and customisation unavailable at lower levels, and/or behind expensive in-game price tags. Everyone entering GTA 6 Online should be able to start with no worries about obtaining a vehicle or high firepower weapon to participate in missions with their buddies or strangers.
