GTA 6: 10 Things Rockstar Must AVOID From Red Dead 2
3. A Forgotten Economy
The Red Dead Redemption 2 economy could've been great. With it being more centred on realism, we could have gotten merchants that would not only offer you items for cash, but reject items you try to sell back to them. And in the case of butchers, only take a certain amount of harvest due to the demand of the product.
Yet, when you loot the bank in Valentine, you no longer have to worry about getting cash as you're given a great deal from just this single mission.
A far more balanced or considered economy would have made you sympathise with the gang's struggle more, and also make it so there'd be trickier situations where you have to be creative to get cash.
GTA is a franchise about heisting and stealing cars, so it's essential Rockstar get this correct, retaining a balance of tension to get money and being satisfied with the reward of a big score.
It would make each gun or car you buy more cherished and important, since you saved the cash in order to purchase it.
