The latest influx of GTA rumours started at the beginning of March when Rockstar started updating their website. The changes brought two new images to the fore - one of a scantily clad, Metropolis-esque robot clutching the company's logo, and another featuring the logo emblazoned over a red white and blue background, complete with all sorts of ominous wording.

While it's possible the images were just Rockstar applying a fresh lick of paint to their webpage, many fans' first thoughts went to GTA VI. The long touted sixth main entry in Rockstar's series is heavily rumoured to head back to Vice City and the 1980s, and while the robot invokes images of Fritz Lang and the art-deco stylings of the 1920s, the surrounding scenery could potentially allude to classic eighties excess.

Emphasis on the 'could'.

More recently, fans have taken to monitoring the dormant GTA VI domain page, currently owned by Take-Two Interactive. It was supposedly updated as recently as April 1, with some taking this as confirmation an announcement is imminent.

This all ostensibly points towards an announcement coming in the near future, but don't hold your breath for too long. GTA 'insiders' have been revising their estimates for a reveal for the past couple of weeks, with the likelihood being that everyone will learn about GTA VI the moment Rockstar wants us to, and not a moment before.
